Learn how to install wordpress to your Namecheap subdomain

In my previous post, I explained all about how to create a subdomain in your namecheap cpanel. Today, I am going to show you how you can install wordpress to your subdomain which you created.

The process of installing wordpress to your subdomain is also the same process of installing wordpress to your main domain name.

What is the difference between a domain name and a subdomain name?

By now, some people still do not know the difference between a domain name and a subdomain name.

If you do not know the difference between them, then I will still tell you their differences.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the main domain which you purchased from a domain name registrar. The domain stands on its own.

Example of a domain name is dollarground.com, blogincomes.com.

As you can see, they stand on their own.

What is a subdomain?

 

A subdomain is another domain which you created from your main domain name. You do not buy a subdomain name, you will create it from your main domain name.

How to install wordpress to your subdomain name

Now, to install wordpress to your subdomain name, follow the steps below

  •  Login to your cpanel via yourdomain.com/cpanel
  •  Locate the softaculous apps installaler under software 
  •  Select wordpress
  •  From the dropdown menu, select your subdomain which you created 
  •  Create your admin details
  •  Then click install wordpress
